style. Winner of the Villiers David Art
Prize 2001 and nominated for both the BP Portrait
Award 2001 & Hunting Art Prize 2002,
he has previously shown at the National Portrait
Gallery,

of London, the Royal College of Art and

welcoming atmosphere of Sesame Art.
Also showing in February
Friday 6th: Wesley
Jacobs

Wesley’s work has a peculiar ability
to evoke feelings of both comfort and anxiety
in
relation to the security of the home. It has
a strong emphasis on detail and personal investment
in the creation process. This is the first
time Wesley
has exhibited in London.
Friday 20th: Jayne Jones

Through a combination of metallic paint, gravity
and a clean crisp canvas, Jayne creates works
that are both industrial and sensual, impersonal
but alluring: techno-erotic abstracts. Working
in Hull as a member of the Kingston group,
Jayne has become increasingly more established
in the
North of England over the past few years – Sesame
is her first London gallery exhibition.
Friday 27th: Hayes
Hopkinson

Graphics, graffiti, paint and drawing – Hayes pulls together various
disciplines and media. His powerfully expressive drawings are composed of many
layers which become gradually noticeable, shifting the viewer’s perspective
and offering plenty to discover. Hayes’ work stands out for its visual
force.
